personal history
Kala Campbell was trained in communication design at Parson’s School of Design in New York, where she took her humanities at The New School for Social Research with an emphasis on Behavioral Science. She also earned her M.B.A. at The Ohio State University where she volunteered at the local NPR Station and learned how to row crew.
She lives off the grid in a solar powered home in Cape Ann, where she spends her free time between the vegetable garden and the kitchen. Minutes from the beach, she can also be found most weekends with her husband out on the boat.
Her family is originally from Germany so she grew up speaking the language. She is also proficient in Spanish. Kala has travelled extensively both professionally and personally, throughout the US and globally. She has lived in England, Germany and the West Indies. She draws her inspiration from exploring new cultures and world music, as well as celebrating food with family and friends.
